    What are you watching?

You don’t think Cole has got worse the longer he’s played for Collins?

Kane looks a shadow of what he was last season and earlier this season. They’ve had the spark drained out of them - coached out of them.

They are two prime examples of what I said, not exceptions.

Kitching, Andersen and even Bobby Thomas left the club much better players after having worked with duff than they were prior. We have recruited players, especially centre backs, from the lower leagues and non league in the past.

Are they good? Not really - but earl and McCart have solid league records. Mael clearly has attributes. They have all got worse as time goes on. Earl looked great the first few games.

Even if they were all national league standard only; they could still be coached to be organised, compact. How to defend on a basic level. None of that has happened. In fact they look like strangers when they step on the field.

That is all down to the head coach.

Sorry Troff, but you can't argue with facts, Kane and Cole have had their most successful seasons at BFC.
Despite what you say McCart hasn't got a solid League record, he's played 17 games for us... 1 more than his whole previous experience of 8 for Rotherham and 8 for Orient.. the rest is Scottish football.
Earl had a promising start back in 2017/8 since then he's been loaned all over the show and most of his football has been at Fleetwood.
MDG is a better player now than when he started at Oakwell... not that I'm crediting Collins for it...just that he's settled in and improved.

Having slept on it I still haven't changed my opinion, I really don't think we'll make the play off's now unless there's a huge improvement in the motivation, desire and out and out fire driven into the squad before Saturday. Sadly I can't see Collins being that inspiring. the only hope is we beat Reading ( who won away last night) and Northampton on the last day. nowt to come at Blackpool and Pompey, and hope Lincoln slip up. What's really scary now is looking at who will be left for next season if the out of contract go and the loans don't stay..

I'd add luca connell to that he's a good player but not having as good of season as under Duff.

Roberts in goal started off well same as Cole but form has really dipped should have saved both goals last night and his attempt to set a wall up at charlton was amateur.

Seeing as the owners' priority is development of players to sell you'd expect Collins to be coming under serious scrutiny. With players so obviously regressing under his coaching he has to be on thin ice.

The difference is in the past we've brought in young players with promise.... this time we've brought in adult players 24,5,6... half way through their careers who have never looked like doing anything.

Couple that with the number of st holders who don’t renew, and the decision of whether to retain him will be made without further thought.

Luca Connell for example was one of the most admired players in league one; I couldn’t see a championship side bidding now and if they did it’d be half the value of last year.

Some say they can’t afford to sack him. I think it’s more plausible they can’t afford not to.

If Luca Connell really was one of the most admired players... we'd have sold him already.

We could hardly sell him when, in the "open letter" from the board that has surfaced once again, it states:

"We know that, if we are to repeat our success of last season, we need to keep a core group together and build on that for success. Our multi-year signing of Luca Connell is part of that strategy."

The specific reference to Connell does tend to indicate that he was indeed one of our most admired players.

His contract extension was the single statement of intent last summer.

He could have been cashed in, very very easily. They instead rewarded him with a pay rise and an extended contract.

Yeah because it's a business to them, not a football club, unfortunately for us.

If it was a business to them they'd be drawing a profit surely? They're clearly not.

That's maybe because they haven't got a clue what to do, and how to do it.

They're all successful business people, and they've ploughed millions into the club just to keep us afloat.

Which is surely their responsibility to do anyway, as they are the 'owners'.
And if they aren't willing to or aren't capable of doing that eventually, then what are they doing here ?.
