Corach Rambler tops the final Timeform ratings from Mahler Mission. Both Timeform and Racing Post make Mahler Mission their 'Verdict' pick. Hills and Ladbrokes go 13/2 Corach while 365 go 16/1 Mahler. That combines for a 'dutched' return of just over 4/1 (20% chance) which looks quite fair.
I think Vanillier will win. Right age, right weight, ran well over the course before, lots of class as is a Cheltenham Festival winner. The Henderson horses ran OK yesterday without blowing me away. I think Firefox will reverse form with Mystical Power today, and also Bill Baxter will lead from start to finish in the Topham. Oh and Conflated is a decent bet on the ground and at the prices in the Melling. Enjoy everyone!
A big shout for Dancing City t;day, goodluck. Been art all day not seen any racing just looked at the result backed darn to 4's i got 6's happy as a pig in 5hit as they say.
I'm picking a ante post bet up for Conflated, non runner National, but its all going on Dancing City e / way.
Having looked at tomorrow's card I think it may be Limerick Lace to do really well. Cant say it'll win as its the National but this is in good nick, can act on any ground and is still open to some further improvement. The ground I suspect will be soft/good-soft by off-time if weather holds so the step up in trip may not be a problem, Walsh has picked this one as his mount as well. Each way terms for me but Limerick Lace it is
So via various bets and sweeps I am on: Limerick Lace Mahler Mission Kitty’s Light Run Wild Fred Glengouly Eldorado Allen Janidil Bound to get something surely!
One non-runner takes the field down to 33. Beginning to look more like a regular competitive Cheltenham handicap now, albeit it a top-class one.
Don't usually back horses in the Grand National as it's like a lottery any horse can fall or be brought down but having said that I like the look of Limerick Lace weighted well with top jockey only minus is it's age 7 year old.
