Possibly. We released ST March 3 last year. The early bird went from there until May 2nd. 8 weeks. This year ST released March 13. Early bird until April 25. About 6 weeks. But after 4 weeks this year, we’ve sold more than after 4 weeks last year. That is a fact. It doesn't mean we will sell more tickets next season (particularly if we don't go up). I guess that will be the big factor.
I’ve renewed and whilst I views promotion as a must I’ve chalked on it now and assume we’ll be in League one for the foreseeable. What I won’t look forward to is league one under Collins and I’d be asking for a refund, no idea if that’s an option but if he goes different story.
That's the spirit. Cut the wheat from the chaff, separate the better fans from the worse. F*** those who want to be entertained they deserve to pay more I don't give a shiny **** which league we're in next year but I can't put up with another year of the awful tactics employed by Collins. If you think that means I deserve to pay extra then so be it
Think you only have to see how sparse the crowds at home have been since we fell off a cliff form wise. I think Jan showed what little ambition we had. So I see nothing to spur me on for another season sadly.
That's what I read it as but surely the club won't be implementing a 'big jump in prices' next season. They'll lose half their customers
I don't think that's right JD. They've extended a couple of years recently but that's not the normal situation. You've got to think that they'll be going back to not extending the early bird deadline sooner or later
That makes more sense. I thought it didn't make a whole lot of sense for them to show their hand a year n advance with ticket prices.
Renewed a few weeks ago. A bit of bad form would never influence my support of my team. It’s about been part of something & supporting your team. It would take family or financial issues to stop me going. I find the idea that a fan wouldn’t renew because they don’t enjoy the style of play a bit pathetic to be honest. Logic says the manager won’t be here much longer as no Barnsley manager is. They either get headhunted or sacked. No one stays with us long. But each to their own & all that. The odds are you’ll still end up watching every game on a dodgy box & will still come on here moaning afterwards! And as for going up, even if we don’t go up, so what? At the end of the day it’s not the end of the world been one of the financially better off teams in a league where you’re likely to win more than you lose. We could end up in an entertaining play off race with a local rival like Rotherham & one of Huddersfield or Wednesday. Could have some more interesting games against the likes of Stockport, Mansfield & Wrexham rather than Carlisle, Fleetwood & Cheltenham.
