Any chance we can get a refund. Can't defend and actually made the defence worse which is surprising. Crynes spreadsheet strikes again.
No not at all your against using data to identify targets but I ask what other way you would use to find them? Olaure and iseka were sold to us by agents that turned out well. So how would you go about it?
Good old fashioned scouting, alongside the spreadsheet. It’s all well and good identifying targets via stats, especially lower league, but how do we know if that will translate into the leagues above? I should hope we send scouts to watch said players. But we all know we don’t, otherwise we wouldn’t end up with crap like Dallas & Shaw
We identify them using data then scout them then the head coach has the final say or that's how it used to be. Every signing is a gamble some work some don't. I remember when people wanted experience then we got the likes of leyroy lita, treacy, Ross turnbull, matt Mills, obbie oulare I could go on.
Clearly that's not correct about the head coach or we wouldn't have signed Connor grant instead of the lad who he wanted from wolves but hey ho you know best.
You obviously know best your criticising something that in the last 10 years has worked well for the club and most other clubs use the same approach but offer no alternative... strange.
He's not had a good half but then again he shouldn't be in a position where he has 75% sole possession
I like Josh Earl, he started off brilliantly for us and has clearly took a down turn in form with the rest of the squad, but he's shown enough for me to warrant his place in the team.
Earl is a good player unfortunately our Head coach cannot teach basic defensive pattern and shape. One of the many players that have regressed this season.
When Everton signed John stones we were ***** in the championship what's your point? Footballs a team sport.
I like Earl but he has had the odd lapse in the last few games. Defensively as a unit we are a shambles to be honest.
Earl’s issues have nothing to do with defensive shape or organisation. He keeps passing the ball to the opposition.
