I class myself as anti-Collins but don't hate him at all. He sounds like a decent bloke who is trying really hard. I just dont think he's getting the best out of the squad. I don't know who could replace him as I dont know about other managers. But the board should do and if they do their homework properly they'll be able to spot a good one who knows what the efl is like

His contribution going forward is fantastic. Should be first choice right back. Williams either benched or back three now.

Collins keeps saying he understands the fans frustration and jeering but then reacts like he did yesterday, you can't believe a word he says

I don't get why some fans start thread's and then don't get involved in them, might do better fishing a pond instead.

Signing someone from the league below who wasn't a regular starter was a very odd bit of business. Not quite signing Watters for four years, but still odd.

Isn’t it pretty obvious why Grant was signed? Because Benson & Wolfe are permanently injured we only had 4 lads competing for 3 spots if we didn’t replace Styles so we had to get a body in.

Money is tight so it was never likely to be a first teamer. He’s stayed fit & been used off the bench several times which is essentially what he was brought in to do.

We didn’t need to be paying fortunes for a first team midfielder in January. We needed centre backs in which is why we signed Pines & Earl as first teamers.

10 appearances he’s made out of a possible 14, that doesn’t tell the whole story though as the majority of the time he’s been coming on late in matches.

The majority of fans said it was a pointless signing, the manager doesn’t trust him nor did he want him. An 18 year old striker came on in front of him the other day for Russell after 20 minutes, that says it all for me… If the lad wasn’t going to push to break into the midfield 3 then it was a waste of time and money.

Not being funny but what makes you think he would "definitely" be obtainable? Settled at a progressive club, one who doesn't sack managers at the drop of a hat. He could have kids settled in school down there, really good relationship with owners etc. Not saying he would be a bad choice but it's a bit Wednesday to assume he would jump at the chance to come here. Same as some said about Dave Challinor in the summer, bet he is gutted he never moved........

He’s just a squad player for depth. We wanted a goal so they went with Jalo. If we were leading I would imagine we would’ve taken Cole or McAtee off & put Grant in midfield. I honestly can’t see how he’s an issue at all.

Far bigger issues at the club with no left footed replacement for Cadden, poor recruitment at centre back & a lack of any wingers or dribblers to give us a plan b.

I agree with a lot of what you say, though it certainly looked as though he, or possibly John Stead, had improved Cole, until the latter's form certainly regressed, as you put it, to the standard of a couple of years ago.

Sacked at Oldham, Doncaster and Salford though...that would be enough to put the BBS in meltdown.
