Rotherham triggered a compensation clause, Stevenage gave permission for him to talk to them and told him they wouldn't stand in his way should he wish to go. It's a familiar scenario, as we are well aware at Oakwell. Now, as to how they were aware of the clause in the first place, that's something different, but par for the course these days.
