Eh? Treat posts on the BBS as a group of mates chatting in the pub. One of you will make a comment about something, the others chip in on the subject and then the conversation will start going off on a tangent until you’re talking about something different, with a spurious link to the opening gambit of the conversation. Most threads on the BBS are like this, so it’s not unusual.
No, there are threads clearly stating subject, like the one in question and a post replied about the game rather than the alleged assault on our player. That was my point. Also, something as serious as that shouldn’t be put into the background and turned into yet another manager knocking thread
Are there some posts on this thread that only you can see? Where does it turn into a ‘manager knocking thread’? Seriously, can you point me to it. I referred to another thread that someone started about apparent ‘Collins haters’ to reinforce a point I was making about how I was getting fed up of fans having a go at other fans, but that’s all. That hardly makes it a ‘manager knocking thread’. In fact, in the same post I went on to say I thought last night was one of the most positive performances we had put in for some time, and that I’d be happiest if he turned things round, we started playing well (like last night), winning our home games and he led us to promotion. But go on, point me to the manager knocking posts in this thread.
I don’t think social media interaction is for you based on this. People will quite rightly talk about anything they want to. You can agree / disagree or dance a little jig but what you can’t do (unless of course they are being offensive) is police their responses or indeed the direction that any thread on any subject will go in. That’s the joy of interaction. If you want to teach people a specific subject then there are careers based on that. Social media won’t and shouldn’t give that to you.
What gets me, if that had been at Oakwell, we would have already had points deducted, a ban of supporters, a fine or even all 3 but i have not seen any official version or concern over what happened, the EFL, certainly have their favourites and really are not fit for purpose
Nice to see Portsmouth not remotely interested in tracking down the culprit. Should be an appeal for people to come forward and ensure this so called fan is not associated with the club any longer.
Just been reading that a pub has been trashed by fans AND PLAYERS ' quality club' it really needs investigating..
It's stuff like this that creates needle between teams for many years. Not specifically due to the actions of one absolute bellend, but more the wider response from the Club and fanbase. I expect to see Portsmouth launch a full investigation, and if an assault has taken place, to take every action necessary to deal with it. I don't expect to see a Millwall-type siege.
Wow! Just seen the footage on fb....it really is an attack on a player (possibly two). Needs a Pompy and EFL investigation with proper sanctions.....They will probably get the usual "strongly worded letter"....but I'm thinking banning of individual and ground closure for a couple of games, with a threat of further punishment in the way of points deduction if it happens again. I thought there were some rules on fans on the pitch and failure to control fans...lets see.
Seen a video of a pompey fan in the away end celebrating the 3rd goal most around him look like pensioners tbh. Steward kicks him out eventually.
According the footage and the investigation underway, i'd assume the reality you speak of is a different reality than the rest of us.
