Today was horrible. Pass it around at the back for a bit & then an aimless pass to no one. Collins for me can leave. I have given the benefit of the doubt, but today was a bridge too far, not that bridge, the bridge.

I would renew the second they announced he's gone.

You're right it's a bit harsh if they extend it for that reason alone but it isn't if they extend it by 7 days to ensure another payday for supporters and to give at least an idea if theyve made the play offs or not.

Really early birds just shouldn't end before the season does. It's nothing more than a con to pressure fans into renewing earlier than they'd like in fear of a huge financial penalty if they don't. But that's another point altogether really.

I do get the logic behind a date linked to play-offs. That's something that definitely will or won't happen, at a fixed point in time and you can plan around it. Personally still kinda feels like it's fans holding the Club to ransom, i.e. "if you get promoted I'll support you, if you don't I won't". But I get the argument both ways. Less convinced about the pay day thing tbh. There's always finance available, and people always have a full year to prepare for the next renewal date. It's not like no one knows it's coming.

It's a debate that rages every year though. Whatever the date is, someone will argue points for it changing.

Feels the opposite way round, to me. If I don't renew by the deadline, the price goes up by £100, on top of the increase they've already put on the Early Bird price.

The full price they're charging pretty much eliminates the benefit of buying a season ticket, given that it works out at £25 a game, assuming you attend every one of them. For each game missed, that price goes up by about £1.20 per game. It doesn't take long until the cost benefit has been wiped out compared to pay on the day pricing.

So what's the alternative? Fixed price? That would be disastrous. EB is pretty much industry standard in every sport that offers season tickets. The bit I genuinely disagree with, is having different EB prices for new and renewing ST holders. That really does seem unfair to me.

It's ******* puddled, why put a barrier in place to put off lapsed or new fans getting a season ticket...........sithi.

Perhaps a lot on his mind - might have had an ultimatum about the result.
