For the full 90 minutes (or I suppose until we go 0-2 down then probably fair enough) can it be wall to wall support, right from the start? Songs about promotion, songs about going to Wembley etc.? We shouldn’t be in this position but we are and if we were climbing the table and trying to sneak in at the last moment we’d be deafening. Let’s not punish them because we did it the opposite way around this year and started our season strongly before trailing off. We’ve been up there in the top quarter of the table all season, let’s cheer that and get them over the line and into the playoffs. There’s a reason fans are called the 12th man so let’s not send our players out already a man down on the opposition.
Mmm nice bit of optimism unfortunately think it’s going to be grim with a toxic atmosphere as soon as we go behind, which we willl.
I have just got back from Blackpool so once I have come round from another first half of absolute dross I will get myself ready for our cup final on Saturday. I will always support them heart and soul but feel like my licking my wounds tonight as that was abysmal and we would get hammered playing like that IF we get to the play offs.
100% agreed… please leave at home the hate bottled up for individuals and come and support.. THE BADGE
I'll be 100% behind them if the manager has them attacking. If he's trying to bore me to tears again then I'll respond in kind. I think that's fair enough. We maybe the 12th man but that pillock is in charge of the first 11 and he has to do HIS job of generating an atmosphere first
Collins needs to do his bit by sending us out to play in a positive fashion and then I'm sure the fans will cheer us to victory, same goes for the playoffs too.
Well said. It was cringe today hearing our head coach abused being called a sad Scottish ******* to the Mark McGee song.
I've been very critical of Collins today. Will always support the team, but the reality is we need to play like we want to win a football match. We did not do that today. We are a million miles away from being a promotion team. There is no one who could say they played well today. Not one.
I'd love to see it, and I will do my bit. But they are going to have to do their bit as well, and bring it on the pitch. If they start how they did today, I fear it will turn, quickly.
By they are you meaning the responsibility lies with the players or the instructions that they are given from our head coach ?
Danm 12 30 kick of . I have to work this Saturday until 11 , if 3pm kick off I'd have been bombing up the a1 at break neck speed
I mean everyone who contributes to the performance we get on the day. The players, the coach, the staff. It's a collective responsibility.
I hope so, can't see it though. Oakwell has been diminishing for years, been a library for ages now. People pretending it's just simply down to Collins' football are just wrong or disingenuous. I love when we go through with it, but the club having to ask fans for a scarf day last year felt a little embarrassing to me, though it felt fantastic. Shame it wasn't more often. But I do think it's at such a low point now that we will struggle to get anything back until Collins or whoever does start playing a more attractive style of football, possibly even at the expense of results, ironically.
I bet the same muppets would be crying if Collins turned round and told them to **** off. Love to dish it out with the personal abuse but can't take it back.
Well said. Saying his Football is **** is bad enough, nevermind getting this personal. The same people would have complained if he hadn't come over to applaud. It's not his fault we went behind to a shot Roberts should have easily saved.
