Decided months ago that I wasn't going to renew and just decide game by game if we are going or not. If we are still playing tippy tappy football then we won't be going to any **Update, just to add that the football isn't the only reason I'm not renewing. My eldest now works 4 on 4 off so barely been to any games this season even though he has a season ticket and my youngest has ASD and it's a flip of a coin if he goes or not. So besides the football there are other factors that supporters will be taking into consideration**
Yeah I'll renew. Supporting Barnsley can be difficult and frustrating but we can also surprise people when times are bad. I've seen us in worse situations (2003) and the atmosphere wasn't even as toxic as it is now.
Interesting that 2/3 of people voting have either renewed or are going to in the next few weeks, yet reading the forum, the consensus seems to be that people aren't renewing.
I'd say that a third not renewing is a massive hit on the clubs finances. If reflective of the whole fan base that would be a drop from 9k season tickets sold this season to 6k next. If that doesn't tell them something not sure what else will.
25% definitely not. That puts us back to 7000(ish). I think most undecided will be still a business losing 25% of its customers should be looking at their model and working out what isn’t working
I'm not disputing the money aspect of it in the slightest. Just surprised the renewals are as high as they are, given how vocal people have been about not renewing.
Absolutely, Archie. I'd estimate a maximum of 15% won't be renewing & would say it'll be closer to 10%. Only opinion, but reckon the financial hit could be £300k to 500k so will be nowhere near a figure that would make the board re-think their view on keeping Collins. I'm strongly against sacking the manager & hope we stick with him - so playing the same game as the Boo Brigade, I'm gonna say that I would not have renewed my season ticket if Collins had been sacked & I'm aware of many fellow supporters that share that view
If we go up I'll get a season ticket, proper fair weather fan me, don't care, all my loyalties are conditional except to my cat, wife and kids.
17 people have voted that they’re not renewing, I don’t think I’ve seen more than 17 people saying that they’re not renewing so seems about right. There’s also people who don’t have one who’ve been saying they aren’t getting one but there’s no option for that on the poll as it’s just about renewal. I’ve not voted yet as I almost certainly am but waiting for my dad to tell me he has done his.
I renewed. We support the club as the only thing that's constant. Players, board members etc come and go.
I've renewed due to not being a massive fanny. That said, it doesn't mean i'm not keen for this board to foxtrot oscar post-haste.
Think it'll be a lot nearer 20% myself that don't renew. As for Collins, if we make the play offs then I'm expecting him to still be here next season. If we drop out of them on Saturday it would complete the mother of all collapses from where we were at 2-0 up against Bolton a few short weeks ago. For me his job would become untenable.
