Defence will still be the issue. Recruiting from the national league and throwing them in the deep end doesn't help
So, do we want the new man from Bolton, Peterborough or a coach from another of our play-off rivals...?
I think the opposite. I we don't go up Disco will get a chance. IF (&it's a big if) we do go up the board will be looking for championship experience. Collins never won over the Oakwell faithful.
Warnock could be tempted for this sort of challenge, or Mick. A manager who would also want to be here next season? Think they'd rather start in the Summer and have a full pre-season.
Good point actually. The timing means hopefully our new head coach will have had a whole summer under their belt. No excuses.
Perhaps the board want to approach a new manager for next season early without competition from other clubs who will sack their current manager at the end of the season? Still doesn't mean the preferred candidate won't wait and see if they get a better offer.
Yep my original point is people blame data analysis when a signing goes wrong head coaches, fans etc. But every signing is a gamble the bloke had a player who played the last 3 season in the premier league and he had him as 4th choice center half behind Angus Mcdonald.
