Whilst it’s not really what I expected, now that the toxicity had been “removed” I would like to see the club making every effort to fill Oakwell. I honestly don’t think they can simply rely on people to just come back on the basis of today’s decision. Free tickets. Get bums on seats, ramp up the atmosphere.
Why free tickets?.....we’ve enough that said they wouldn’t go while Collins was manager, well he’s gone now so I am sure they will more than gladly pay to go on Saturday!
Imagine just one bloke causing all that toxicity, not the players, the board etc All players suddenly learnt how to play football now. Can't wait to watch them play like prime Barcelona on Saturday.
He didn’t cause any toxicity with me. But it was evident at Blackpool that he takes the brunt of the toxicity from sections of fans. The only reason to sack him today as opposed to the end if the season is to rescue the atmosphere for one game. In my opinion he is far from being the only one to blame. I just think that there is a chance of creating some positivity through some goodwill.

Good of you to offer to cover the increased policing and stewarding costs from all the extra morons running on the pitch that would turn up. Last game of the season is the worst possible game to offer free or cheaper tickets.
Which is ******* ludicrous when you look at what the clowns off the field have done or to put it better haven't done in the last 12 months. They've 100% **** themselves, no one can argue otherwise, they didn't want the **** should we lose on Saturday. I feel for Neil Collins, backed him all season and yes i did question after Saturday's defeat whether he was thr right head coach for us but what a mess we've put ourselves in.
Oddly enough, I'm not going on Saturday now because of the sacking. Not because I thought Collins was a particularly good manager or that the style of football was fun to watch or that the results since March didn't warrant it. But today's decision reeks of desperation from the board to appeal to vocal section of our fanbase who to be honest have been embarrassing all season. Singling one man out for abuse pretty much since August, when clearly the players and the board have both woefully underperformed as well is shameful. I took a neutral to our game on Saturday as the person who was supposed to be going had other commitments and he was honestly baffled by the almost constant abuse, booing and the toxicity in the away end. Sacking him at the end of the season would have been a better idea and probably the right way to go, but to sack a guy who gave us our biggest ever opening day win and our best away season in terms of points before he could even finish the season is embarrassing. It'll not make a jot of difference in the run in either because even if we do qualify for the playoffs we won't get past the semis anyway.
I’m sure there was a loophole exposed by another club in a similar boat last season. Gave everyone who had a ST or matchday ticket the option of 2 free tickets on a first come first served basis. Anyway, no matter cos Dreamboy Head of Crowd Safety says no.
This lot not bothered about atmosphere. Showed Saturday at Blackpool how good atmosphere can be when got all corners filled in even tho crowd was only roughly 12.500
To be honest i think Collins had lost the dressing room, which i can believe after his show of anger to the fans at Oakwell the other week. The man just thought he was right and nobody else was
