Scott was the most vocal on here for sacking Collins.I would like to hear his views on the sacking, the timing and his likely replacement.
Why do you always end your posts in sithi? I know it's your trademark but do you remember how it came about?
His only posts since the sacking are ‘We want Collins out’ chant started at full-time when he came over with the players to applaud… AND I’d go 4-2-3-1. ………………..Roberts Williams….MDG….Cundy….Earl ……………Kane….Connell Phillips………….McAtee………….Cole ………………....Cosgrove -We won’t like, but I’ve got to the point I can’t stand the back 5 anymore. Maybe MD might completely try something new; if Cundy is available I’d play him too. After Saturday I wouldn’t be playing Cadden this season again…
Scott is not the only one of the mob on here, and I'm sure they are all still laughing about it even now!.
Love that idea. Couldn’t be arsed and wanted a payoff so posed as a fan to try and get himself sacked
Go on then, Brian I’ll bite… -the timing is crazy but then does anything surprise you with this board? -he should’ve gone after the Cambridge game but they’ve obviously **** it with ST sales and they don’t trust him to get a result this weekend. -I don’t remember us completing a full 90 minutes all season? -None of the players have improved since last season, (the recruitment was a shambles mind…) -I think the majority of the fanbase wanted him gone, Blackpool was toxic from minute 1 unfortunately. -He didn’t know his best 11, I’ll go back to September where he threw in the young lad, Chapman is it? At home to Blackpool… he’s not been seen since. What does that tell you? -He got very lucky with result pre and post Xmas, how many times have we won by 2 clear goals this season? -2 clean sheets in 27 games is atrocious, the guy was a CB himself ffs. Do you want anymore?
Sorry Scott the intension wasn't for you to "bite".Because you were the most vocal about sacking Collins I was genuinely expecting your views.I've read your reply thank you for posting your opinion.
I don’t think you can be top 6 on luck alone, and I dont know what our best team is either, based on the inconsistency of some of our players. I think Collins has actually been unlucky, even a victim of his own success. I agree that our football hasn’t been great all season, but by virtue of that I think it would have been less alarming if he’d spread the defeats out over the season, and sacrificed a few away wins for home ones rather than us falling off a cliff at the end. Everyone bears responsibility for him losing his job, and no doubt more blame will be apportioned if we don’t get over the line on Saturday, or fail to get promoted. No doubt with Collins out of the picture, some will be lining up new candidates for scapegoat.
Scott gets lots of stick for voicing his opinion. He gets lots of stick for saying things that are minority views. He gets stick if he's proved right and he tells everybody he was right. He gets stick if he's moaned. He gets stick if he hasn't actually said anything. Great board is this....
I’d have loved him to succeed but in all honestly the football has been diabolical, letting teams near the bottom of the league get on top and dominate us. I just knew at the start of the season when we had those losses at home to Oxford, Peterborough, Portsmouth and Blackpool that this guy wasn’t going to get the majority of the fanbase on board.
Just on Chapman why is that something to criticise the manager for? We had players out injured / suspended & he only had two senior midfielders available so gave Chapman a go who had been playing in the paint trophy. Isn’t that the exact time to use a kid? And didn’t he get injured soon after & has barely played for the U23’s too. Just seems really harsh to criticise the manager for that.
Has he been proved right? We've sacked a bloke who has guided us to 5th in the league. That's not him being proven right.
