Of course not, but you know that.

I'm saying that I hope those who hurled abuse at Collins and wanted him out, give the new man their complete backing.

    Thats all.

Certainly. Like the requirements needed to obtain a work permit post Brexit. Maybe.

Let's be honest if this bloke gets the the job we as fan's haven't got a clue what we are getting. Only time will tell if he's in the Schopp,Asbagi group or Val, Stendel one only time will tell but isn't that true of whoever we appoint.

The same ***** here are already on the negative in spite of no one on here knowing anything about the guy. Maybe they should just find something else to do?

    Well said.

Everyone knows we’re skint so the fans that were threatening not to renew their season tickets unless Collins was sacked should surely know that a club in a financial mess that now has to pay off a manager won’t have much money for a replacement. You got what you wanted. It’s not our fault you didn’t think beyond that.

So we should have kept him just because we were skint?
Taking 9 points from a possible 36 and spiralling into relegation form cost Collins his job. And been tactically inept, even the blackpool game tippy tappy then a big hoof back to Blackpool and give them possession back. Blackpool who weren't even playing a high line that day so it really couldn't have worked. Keeping Collins and expecting a different scenario for Saturday would be madness. Had to go.

    Absolutely unbelievable this.

Blaming the dissenting fans for this appointment - if it is actually made of course - as we are skint.

I didn’t threaten to not renew. I have renewed.

I also don’t think it was the wrong decision to remove Collins. His football was never great, but more importantly his results had more than started to match the performances, and he’d lost the support from a decent proportion of fans in the stadium on match day. Right or wrong, that wasn’t sustainable and he had to go.

We have to pay him off. We don’t have a lot of money as a club.

That does not mean, though, that we have to appoint a head coach that has pretty much failed in Belgium and Austria and had little to no success in men’s professional football.

There are out of work managers with football league experience who we wouldn’t have to compensate clubs for, or pay any more than we would Thalhammer; nor pay as much to help relocate, and lawyers fees for obtaining visas etc.

Thalhammer might be the right man. It might be a genius move. But it is left field, it closely resembles the short sighted, poor decisions previously made by the club, and is a huge risk. I hope it’s a risk that pays off. (Again, if this is actually true).

But if he is another Schopp and it goes tits up, blaming the fans for wanting Collins out is wide of the mark. This isn’t the only choice they have. It isn’t even the cheapest choice.

No, I’m saying if you wanted him out you can’t complain at a cheap, unknown replacement. That’s what logic says it was always going to be.

Out of work, lower league yes I agree we could recruit one but we aren’t getting a Duff or Heckingbottom like many of the fans calling for him to go have been calling for.

Duff’s only left us a year ago to try & further his career. The defence is already far weaker than it was when he was here & 6 of the first 11 needs replacing.

Heckingbottom will be after a top championship job after taking Sheff Utd up. There’s no way he’s coming back here.

The are out of work managers who would cost less than a Austrian punt. Its very uninspiring as was bringing Collins in.

Here are all the managers currently out of work whose last job was in League One and who averaged over 1.4 points a game.
    Pick one.
