In 1997 the majority (yes the majority) of fans who didn`t go on the pitch were denied the opportunity to celebrate the promotion on the day with the team because of the ones who broke the rules.

 

I only know as much as the next man. News articles suggest there's one, yeah.

 

Nearly all of them actually relate to final game or play-off/title deciders. I could have chucked Forest in there, Everton and Bristol Rovers too.

Fines for all clubs I've referred to range from £15,000 to £260,000.

Just not worth it, is it?

Likelihood is, should Barnsley win on Saturday, there'll be another game on Oakwell a week later. So not good for the turf either.

If we know this every year whitey, what preventative steps have we taken this year?

It's OK putting a communication out but we both know it's futile, people just ignore things,happens every year, I'm not condoning it BTW just think if we were that concerned based on past events we'd have taken preventative steps e.g meshing/ additional stewarding

Let's be honest here. If you are ab adult who does it you're a c un t. If you're an adult who sends your kid on you're a **** parent. And if you're an adult who takes your kid on the you've got ******* issues.

£35k fine for Luton due to fans invading the pitch to celebrate playoff semi final victory

That's £770,000 in fines for fans going on the pitch to celebrate success

 

Lot of money that is. Be nice if the money was reinvested into grassroots football..... Wont be though.

 

We've done well to avoid it then considering it happens every year.

 

Can't post link but two sets of human ashes scattered on Fratton Park during that pitch invasion. Incredible.
