So….. Same team virtually Same tactics Same tippy tappy in defence McAtee first substitute Cole left on O’Keefe off and Barry brought on Barry as useful as usual Concede They are the same person!
Seriously though, what were you expecting? He's been on the coaching staff all season. And even if he did want to change things, he's had 3 days to do it.
I thought the first 20 mins in particular, I could tell they were trying to be different. But the cohesion just wasn't there. Which is totally predictable. These things take weeks and many games to get right. Inevitable that they pretty quickly ran out of ideas and reverted to type.
It wasn't tippy tappy at first but it definitely reverted to it for a large period which killed the atmosphere unfortunately.
The biggest criticism I have for him is the Cotter substitution which added time to a game that was about to end. As it turned out, that allowed them to equalise. Totally pointless substitution, with the worst possible outcome.
To be honest I wouldn't be starting cadden or Cole next Friday. Both looked poor for ages both look like they can't be bothered.
I don't know where you get that from about Cadden not looking bothered. He was waving his arms around like a mad man all afternoon today begging for the ball
Cole has had his last chance for me, nothing again all game. If someone's signed a pre contract with him, they must be scrutinising the small print looking for the get out clause by now.
He does but I think that's largely because last season we passed the ball to him when he had found space. This season we don't even look at him. Can't blame him for being underutilised by players who either can't pass a ball far enough to get to him or aren't allowed to by the tactics.
Disco will never make an head coach. We need to stop trying to flog the dead horse. Hopefully we get someone in early next week.
Is it all coincidental that it's got worse to watch and the results tailed off massively since a DOF was appointed implementing a game model and coaching methodology. Bet Collins was glad to get out by the end
He looked interested. Won a reasonable amount in the air, which is not his game, but was a yard off the pace.
