Not much posted about his lack of effort yesterday. Looked like he couldnt be arsed. If Cole did that he would be slagged off to high heaven.
Didn't think there was much wrong with his work rate but his touch was poor and he couldn't beat a man. Still better than Cole though, at least when he got the ball there was a bit of excitement in the crowd.
This. I thought he was poor, never got into the game or produced anything of note but not due to lack of effort.
While I acknowledge his potential I’m one of the few who doesn’t think he’s ready (even for the bench). I think he’d benefit from a season on loan abit like we did with shepherd next season.
Mrs Tonjy doesn't think I put enough effort in, so I 'm going out on loan to Unit 8 Massage, Sheffield.
Wow are you joking? Read it all on this forum now. What did you think to Cosgrove and caddens efforts?
Wouldn’t say lack of effort. In my opinion it was similar to his performance against Reading before his goal. Then he looked excellent after that. Yesterday he didn’t get a goal and looked poor for his spell.
I thought the effort was the litter or no service and nothing came off for him. Although he should have had a corner when he tried to beat the defender but the woman lino flagged for a goal kick, same as she flagged macatee offside when he wasn't involved in play... useless.
I don’t think there was a lack of effort from anyone. A lack of quality but that’s not the same thing. As for Jalo he isn’t ready yet. He will be in time.
Ones scored 18 goals in 40 odd games aged 27 and hardly touched a blade of grass since Jan, other one is 19 years old coming back from injury and committed to a contract pathetic comparison
Kids 18 mate not 19 till November. Suppose that's the risk of bringing him into the 1st team people will be on his back regardless of age.
Jalo seems to take a while to get into it but when he does, he looks ok Which begs the question, why not bring him on sooner?
Never said he wasnt talented. Hes exciting and gets you on the edge of your seat. Yesterday to me he just walked and lightly jogged about. Didnt seem bothered to do anything.
If he’s good enough, he’s old enough. There are plenty of players his age or younger plying their trade higher up the football pyramid. Young Archie Gray at Leeds, the young lad Miley at Newcastle are just two off the top of my head. I’ve never understood this “but he’s young” business. If he’s good enough, the club should be giving him the opportunity to prove it.
I don't think it helps him how the pitch is Watered before ko and at half time. Seems to have difficulty keeping his footing
