Yeah lol, talk about peeing on somebody else's chips!.
As disappointed as I am with how things have ended up, it's still the Play offs for us, which is an achievement.
And if we want to win promotion, well you've got to be in it, to win it. :)

How? You've a ticket for Keane and not yet got one for the play offs.

Wouldn't be able to enjoy it knowing we were playing in a play off semi final at the same time.

I went into Saturday hoping to be convinced that we were up for it and had a fighting chance of winning the playoffs.

We scraped in due to other results after a fairly abject performance. Walking away from the ground I was thinking I'd have preferred to miss out as I can now only realistically see 1 of 2 outcomes - we lose to Bolton and that fat **** Evatt or we scrape by Bolton and lose at Wembley. It might be defeatist but I just don't think we have a cat in hell's chance of winning and so either of the likely outcomes hurts more and costs me more money.

I'll hopefully feel a bit more up for it by Friday but for now that feeling still lingers.

They say that it is the hope that gets you, so maybe when we are expecting to be knocked out we can surprise people...

I dont think anything you've written there is incorrect. Its also nice to see that you appear to be optimistic. However, it is this same board that, through lack of footballing nous, short-termism and poor recruitment have led us to dreadful performances on the pitch and a completely disillusioned fan base. Appointments of new key staff may look all well and good on paper and may tick a few boxes for some but at the moment the decline of the club continues, the disaffection continues amongst fans and, if these appointments don't work, the recruitment is poor again (including the manager) and there's not enough thought about the actual football on the pitch then next season will possibly be even worse. At the moment I dont share your optimism. The immediate issue is appointing a good manager. If they get it wrong it will have bad repercussions.
