The 2000 restriction will cost us money in the home game but fully understand why we're doing it. As for the away game it'll be tit for tat and I think we'll struggle to shift 2000 anyway for a night game.
https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2023/may/play-off-away-leg-tickets-barnsley-a They have got 30 more tickets than last season.
I think the issue is: their away end is upper and lower tier. Certainly last season they had home fans in the lower tier for the playoff game. Not many but it was on sale to home fans. I'd assume they think they will do that again so giving us top tier which is roughly 2,000. The issue for debate then is do we reciprocate and leave 3,500 empty seats or do we cash in. We cash in we would get pelters from some. We don't then could look petty to some. Alternative is sell home tickets in other half of North stand but there won't be demand. Its a tricky one tbh....
It's the home leg of the play offs. Regardless of how we've been playing, surely the fans can get up for that? It's something if we've got to limit ticket sales just to create an atmosphere.
Thanks for the explanation. I thought they'd left the lower tier completely empty. It's a pretty sad state of affairs that we can't get 17000 home fans through the turnstiles for a playoff semi final. Not all the club's fault at all. The pricing is spot on, but I fully understand it's still a lot of money for many people, especially with half an eye on a very expensive trip to Wembley.
If we’d sold it out and Bolton only sold us 2k you’d all be complaining that the incompetent board has let our home leg feel like an away leg. Do we really need to complain about everything like? Walked away from the game Saturday feeling like we’d just been relegated rather than into the play offs it’s getting bizarre.
I very rarely have a pop at the club. However, if they have instigated the low Bolton allocation and there was a way to get 4000 away fans at each match without too much bother, then I think the criticism is justified for reasons I outlined above. However, there may well be factors at play that we aren't aware of.
I doubt we’ll be paying £20 a ticket at Bolton but if they are reciprocating on ticket price and numbers they should be getting 4000. It might be Bolton are giving us 2000 so we’ve done the same
I think people are absolutely dreaming if they think we would take 5k to an away match on a tuesday night, no matter the circumstances.
Could they not place them in the seats in front of the old main stand? That way there's a full stand begging to be filled by Tarn fans
Childish, immature and sad, if they can bring 6,000 let em cum, football fans want to be part of the experience, and support their clubs in these kinds of fixtures. When your on the pitch and the noise is electric it tends to av an impact on the players, the team and the game.
Better for getting parked I suppose but personally I'd rather it was as full as possible. Also means some of our fans will miss out for the reverse fixture if they reciprocate.
I think that's the case it was the other way round last season home and away. I'm pretty sure that's the number we got at their place as they give the upper tier to away fans bit like that lot at s6.
After Saturday I've come to the conclusion that stewards are a complete waste of time and money. They may as well puts cones out at the side of the pitch
