It's not as simple as that. In our ground the 5000 most passionate fans who have decided to come for the away team all sit together in a big amplifying stand. Whereas our most passionate fans who sing are all confined in a much smaller stand and the rest mostly spread out across a huge two tier end with little facing them but a tiny half empty stand. It's about the worst dynamics you could get.

it probably shows that we have matched what Bolton offered. ie the minimum necessary. I would think if they had decided to offer us both tiers at their place we would have offered them more.

Plenty of tickets available in the home end for those who've previously ordered tickets but aren't season ticket holders today, wonder when they go on general sale for anyone and how many bolton fans will be in the home end?

None or very few, it gets said every time away fan’s demand outstrips allocation/availability and rarely does it happen. Leeds a few years ago I remember but that’s about it. It will be live on TV so why would decent folk risk going in home ends?

Thing is Bolton are selling their lower tier to home fans whilst we don't even attempt to sell seats in the North.

Perhaps, the demand isn’t there. Afterall, we’re crap aren’t we and nobody wants to go?

I get your point, but I disagree to a certain extent. The atmosphere at Oakwell is poor because quite simply, the home fans make no noise. I don't think it's anything to do with acoustics, because the boos and grumbles reverberate without issue. I had a similar conversation on here with someone earlier in the season, I don't remember who, but he said that we shouldn't expect the fans to sing to anything less than a side playing fast attacking football, and are at least 2nd in the league.

Looks like plenty of season ticket holders haven’t bothered getting their own seats for Friday, just going by how many blue dots there are( myself included in this).
