Following a few football tweets and saw one telling Nareev and JAQ to off all because we didn't sign a manager who wasn't even or our radar. What the hell is up with these people.
Not condoning any kind of abuse online however they do set themselves up to fail, way too much… After the Horsham fiasco we were told we’d not have anything lacking profession again. We’re now hearing we went for a new manager behind the current managers back, who doesn’t qualify for a work permit, who is responsible for the lack of background checks?!
They probably (if at all ) not been behind the managers back as long as you wanted him sacking. As for these on social media and I don't know if theres any rules or not but I would seek them out and ban them from Oakwell for life. How would you feel if that was someone verbally attacking your partner ,mother ,sister etc.
Why are you so triggered at any perceived criticism of the club or directors? You must start 10 of these threads a week. Set up a Twitter account and call them out on social media if it bothers you so much. Everyone else has worked out that discourse on Facebook and X was dreadful at least 10 years ago.
We may already know it, but it doesn’t make it right. instead of everyone else adjusting their behaviour, the culprits should change theirs. There are countless people posting stuff without recourse. It’s wrong. The stuff against owners who have basically kept the club afloat makes me ashamed to be a Barnsley fan.
I’m questioning the point of posting it on here. Anyone sending a threatening/sickening tweet to any human being should be dealt with by the authorities. However, there is a level of criticism that should be allowed otherwise what’s the point of this site even existing?
If theirs ever conspiracy I wish to be true, it would be "the great reset" and it takes social media out with it.
This is a site to discuss BFC. If the OP isn’t relevant I don’t know what is. For the record, posts like this trigger me also. People who are putting their own money into our club are being abused continually. It’s wrong.
Not condoning abuse on social media at all but the way these people are running our club is making us a laughing stock. We get kicked out of the FA Cup and hear that never again will we embarrass ourselves like that. What a great start now to the reigns of the new CEO and DoF. Both of whom we never hear a thing from. Play offs or not even the happiest of clappers have to be dismayed at the state of our club right now. Some serious bridge building needed to sell season tickets and prepare properly for next season.
If only we had a play off semi final in 2 days to concentrate on. Reece is very silly here in my view - he’s entitled to his opinion but 2 days to go?
I’d say for every 10 posts from the OP it’s diluted by about 40 posts which are normally made up of utter ****** lies and conspiracies……..works both ways!!
You might not like their language, or their tone, and neither do I. I don't condone it, and I find it disgusting personally. However, it's their right to express their feelings in any way they see fit. As long as they aren't inciting violence, they can say whatever they like. JAQ has the right to block people if she wishes, so does the official club account.
Who says we went behind a managers back? Who says background checks weren't conducted. The first that came out about Thalhammer was the day we sacked Collins. That could have been in the pipeline since straight after the Blackpool game, or before. This whole thing about a work permit, the club probably were fully aware they'd have to appeal for one. It's not difficult to find the current ruling around work visas in football online. Alan Nixon didn't accuse them of not knowing on his Patreon, simply that we'd appealed the presumably automatic rejection. Thalhammer presumably was/is the first name on a list of targets. Everything gets twisted online though as people are so quick to jump before they've been given any real information. Of course, I could be wrong and you could be right. None of that means the club have "set themselves up for abuse". Let's not make excuses for the vermin on twitter.
Tally-whacker was in the country the day that Collins got the booit, they were obviously sorting out his contract etc. whilst Collins was still here… I understand you’re a Happy Clapper but let’s not be naive about the whole thing.
You didn't brush up on your debate skills during your brief hiatus. I'll give you a bit longer to grow up before trying a reasonable conversation with you again.
There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism, but it must not be accompanied by egregious abuse against individuals. I do not think it is beyond reason that such abusive posts should be taken down by the moderators.
The language may be better on here, but there are plenty calling for the board to go. As my old boss used to say to me "Bring me solutions, not problems". If the board get fed-up of the personal abuse and constant 365x7x24 calls for them to go, and they decide to walk away, what then? Without any alternative, we would fold. There's been issues; there are issues, but the new off field appointments have not even had a full season to make any changes.
