If you can get 12 year olds to do it, why can’t you get professional footballers to do it? Does their coach want a job?
By the time that was in the back of the net MDG and early old still be passing it between each other trying to decide which of them would hit the inevitable lump up to their keeper.
. Just a shame that Collins's tippy tappy passing around at the back nearly always ended with a 60 yard launch or a chance for the opposition.
I keep saying this to anybody that will listen. Playing ‘good football’ is about passing on the deck, but it’s mainly passing forward and with purpose. Every team is trying to be Man City but City are trying to draw you out so they can pass forward and hurt you in the last 3rd with all their skill players with pace. You’ve got to have those kinds of players like Foden, KDB et al. All we do is pass it in front of teams because we haven’t got the pace, skill or guile in that last 3rd to make that strategy work. When we got to the Prem, we played amazing football, mainly on the deck. You watch any of the goals on YouTube, everything was forward. Loads of runners beyond the opposition lines. We, and loads of other teams do none of this. That’s why it’s fcukking dull as dishwater.
Spot on. I made a bit of a miserable post yesterday about our playing style. We aren't quick enough in transition. That's we're constantly sideways and backwards then panicking and launching it forward.
If it's under 12s they're playing on the wrong size pitch with the wrong size goals and the wrong number of players on each team. Those lads are a bit older.
