Why not start another discussion that'll get everybody riled up?

Have you been out and voted today? I'm currently in the Rockingham Ward and it looks like there'll be an independent getting in here with Reform taking the Milton ward.

Yup. Although our polling station is at the Pollyfox centre just behind our house. Not too far for these two legs to walk!

My manager's partner helps at the polling station near them in Hillsborough, and by 9:30am, just 3 people had turned out to vote.

    God, that's disappointing.

I think it's a stark reality to how a lot of people are disillusioned with the political parties though.

Can be classed in the 'Other' option in the poll and then put a comment down if you voted Green if you wish.

My constituency in a Labour stronghold, (Headingley). I actually vote Green in the locals, as I know their candidate and he is a good bloke. Lives round the corner from me. Voted for Labour for mayor though...

I'm in Weetwood ward, just down the road from you. Same parliamentary constituency though, when that one eventually rolls around.

I’m technically in Kirkstall Ward. Voted Labour for both. Obviously, being from Grimethorpe, I have a Labour bias from my upbringing but I can hand on hand say I would vote Labour here anyway for the sheer amount of things they do in the Ward that I value.

Mine too. It is superb. Nathan has transformed that place since he took over. I've seen so many fabulous gigs over the years. Before he took over I used to provide PA & did sound for some touring bands, but the rig they have now is way above anything I could do. it's 20 minutes walk from my flat & is a great community hub. The Hyde Park Book Club, at Hyde Park corner is also excellent for smaller gigs. I'm very fortunate to live round here. We also have the fantastic Hyde Park Cinema.

I vote for Alex Sobel at the General Elections. Fantastic MP. I've had a few dealings with his office regarding homeless people in Headingley / Hyde Park & they have been very responsive. he's also stood up for Palestine & visited Gaza recently & he is Jewish. Not all Jewish folks are Zionist idiots, but I do know a few, sadly. Likewise most muslims I know are great, but there are obviously exceptions too. Hyde Park is far less of a ghetto than parts of Bradford & Harehills. Everyone gets on well, as far as I see it.

Nice one. I have a lot of mates who live up round there. Nice spot. Will be voting for Sobel for reasons given above.

Going to the playoff game tomorrow with my brother & my nephew, but racking up at the Village on Saturday with my girlfriend & other Leeds friends to watch the Leeds match. They look like they are playoff bound, unless Huddersfield pull off a miracle. I'm fairly neutral on that subject, but have lived in LS6 for over 30 years & all the Leeds fans I ever meet are very respectful of us, at least to my face....

Only been a couple of times but do love it. Excellent venue for smaller bands.

I do like the Manchester Albert Hall for bigger bands though.

That is a great venue too. More than double the capacity though of either of the 2 rooms at the Brude.

In my area, we voted for East Midlands Mayor and Police and Crime Commissioner. I voted Green and Labour respectively.

My fave venue too, one of the reasons I want to move to that side of Leeds, that and being closer to Headingley for the cricket!
