It's a shame it was called off for the day so early. They could have got back out. I was reading in the Chronicle how Jake Weatherald won't be at Barnsley this season. I looked him up and saw he's playing in a team with Olly Stone, Phil Mustard that used to play for Hoylandswaine and Monty Panesar. That's money not seen spent by a team since Wrenthorpe in the early 2000s.
There must be some serious money behind that team. Wrenthorpe got a few high profile and expensive players like you said.
It was a fantastic knock to chase down the highest IPL chase ever. He hasn't played for a fortnight and he probably needed the rest, because with England duty he's probably been in India now for 5-6 months.
Yorkies in a good position in this match, at the moment, near the end of day two. However, the bad weather and us allowing Derby about 800 runs on the final day... still might happen lol. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/ECKE1217486
What an awful pointless Yorkie crikkit match again ehh!. Ruined yet again by weather, and ending disappointingly in another so called 'draw'.
Glamorgan won the toss and Coad has a wicket. Might be another draw because if they get out at all after lunch they will be lucky.
I reckon Bess is playing more of an all rounder role as Yorks seem to have given up on him ( wrongly in my opinion ) as a first choice spinner. You’re right though….
Finlay Bean is the next one for the Yorkshire to England production line. His batting is sublime, 130 not out with Root on 83. Might actually win one for a change
Really good day. Bean continues to look like a future test player and Root was in the runs. Pleasing to see both our spinners take 4 wickets each l.
It was an enjoyable days cricket yesterday, fabulous to see Bean get his century and hoping to see Root get his today. And we might get a bit of sun today too what more can one wish for?
Super mornings cricket at Headingley and its shorts weather for me - I had my bloody thermals on yesterday! Bean and Root out but both had very good innings.
