Can we not buy on iFollow? At a wedding and was hoping to sneakily watch on my phone and get really irate at the pedestrian performance, ruining the wedding in the process.
Hope you've rung them up and laid it on thick. Say you're leaving, been a loyal customer always paying on time, can't afford it, money is tight, not value for money, especially sports package with season close to ending etc. The customer retaining department person you speak to will do you a great deal so they get themselves a bonus for tying you down for the next few years to a new contract.
Becoming less and less common unfortunately. I know a few people who've tried this recently and Sky have just let them go
I do this everything my contract it up. Don't think I've ever paid full price for sky in last 15 years
Same here. Was 70 all in. And they gave me an automatic ongoing no contract all in of 90 a month. Said it wasn't on. But offered nothing else. So I simply told them I'll let it run till end of the season, and expect me to drop everything to the basic package. Still didn't work. So I have 12 months at a discounted rate of 90, otherwise we are in 3 figures. I will not stretch to 3 figures in any case Greedy ********, much like anyone else whacking up prices thought the cost of living excuse. It's ******** and nothing but profiteering
Always worked here too. Lay on the sob story way worse than it is. If someone wasn't willing to help, hang up and speak to the next person.
Guys, a fire stick costs, at most, 70 quid for the YEAR, every channel you could ever want to watch...no brainer. Why pay sky 60/70/80 quid a month?! Don't be afraid of the sky-backed add campaigns talking about piracy funding crime or jail time for using one, it's all hot air. They'll only change their ways when people stop paying. I got up to £80 odd a month before I gave myself a slap and thought "what the hell am I doing"?!
Personally, given the choice between £80 per month to watch legally or £80 per year to watch illegally I'd sooner not bother. And I don't. I watch what's available for free and pass on the rest.
I have both. But I have say q in with that and 4 minis so it's multi screen all round and for lads too. Sky go so we can watch on the move etc.. I simply use the "fire stick" or should I say app, for the things I can't get on sky. Or ppv stuff I will definitely not pay for.
You know what, I've no problem at all with them setting their price as high as they want. £500 a month if they want to. If people are happy to pay it then so be it, if they aren't then they'll go under. What I do have a huge problem with is charging different people vastly different prices based their confidence on the phone or in many cases their ability to flat out lie. The practice of charging customers differing prices for the same product should be made illegal and special offers to tempt customers to stay should be banned. Under the current system vulnerable and 'weak' people are subsidising the luxuries of the more confident and that's wrong. Set a price and live or die by it.
The wife is great at getting lower prices/free stuff/upgrades etc. She nearly always manages to get a room upgrade for holidays when we get to the resort, got a family suite in Malta for just an extra 8 quid a night.
