    Just drove past it and realised the industrial estate where the Kia Garage/BPL is is called the Mount Osbourne Industrial estate. Don’t ever remember the Mount not being the Mount though and I’ve been drinking since 2000.

    It was the Mount Osborne when I was a lad. The landlord's son was in my class at school, and I sometimes played cricket with him in the pub yard, with a dustbin for the wicket.

    I’m not from Barnsley but used to go in the Mount (Osbourne ) before games in the late seventies and 80’s.
    I think it ditched the last bit some time in the Nineties

    Googled it and it shut 6 yrs ago and is now a housing estate… sad sign of the times !
