You’re absolutely right. But what have them 2 got to do with local council / mayoral votes? I’d never vote for a Sir Keith Gammon led party in a general election. But I wouldn’t hesitate to vote for a Labour councillor at local level if I like what they are contributing locally. Admittedly I’d never vote Tory under any circumstances but hopefully the point stands?!?
https://www.theguardian.com/politic...oses-ground-in-urban-and-heavily-muslim-areas Tories lost plenty of seats, but Labour didn't win as many of those lost seats as they would have hoped. The race to be London mayor is going to be way closer than expected. Londoners are sick of Khan with ULEZ and the big rise in knife crime under his watch.
Would always vote Labour nationally but knowing some of the local labour councillors I wouldn’t have faith in them to run a bath never mind run a multi million pound organisation like a council. Just my personal opinion.
I didn’t vote Labour locally this time either. I’m in Rotherham these days rather than Barnsley for what it’s worth.
I was a member of the labour party until Blair revoked clause 4, I rejoined when Corbyn became leader and left again on the election of Starmer. I will be voting labour in the general election, whilst pinching my nose, for the simple reason that no matter what, and under any circumstances, this incompetent self serving government simply HAS to go.
Londoners hate ULEZ so much they *checks notes* reelected Sadiq Khan with a bigger majority than last time. Way to show him!
Those pesky londoners (ie every racist idiot on Facebook) seem to have forgot Johnson introduced ulez and Johnson’s government blackmailed khan to extend it. Strange times!!
