Well, I think most of us were expecting a defeat, but hoped the team might pull something out of the bag. Unfortunately not. With defenders playing like that they’ve got no chance. Still no idea what’s happened to the team since March - it doesn’t make any sense.

It’s looking like another season in League One with strong teams coming up, and down. With half the team out of contract, it’s going to be a huge summer for the owners.

So you're looking at the pics above and you can't see their player backing into Roberts and shoving him intio the net?

He backs into Roberts and shoves him into the net...any VAR would have disallowed that.

It’s not a foul. As a keeper you either get one of your big lads in there to do the same to him or you get your knee or elbow in his back and move him out of the way

Inept defending doesn't mean it can't be a foul. Had it been given I can't see too many arguing otherwise for too long.

Don't think there's an argument that Bolton are better than last year. Lost James Trafford and Sonny Bradley. We're just nowhere near where we were.

I've watched the replay. Their bloke has hardly done anything tbh. The goalie and the rest of the defence must be stronger.

He was bundled out of the way for the 3rd goal but saved a 1 on 1 just before it to keep us in it, he's the least of our problems.

Not doing it to them first does not mean that it's not a foul...trying to do that would probably give another penalty away...sh**e defending from the outfield players I agree...but still a foul on Roberts.

Nah its not a foul these days.

Clubs do it all the time. Set piece coaches are called "clever" when people hold, grab and block.

I think it's wrong, but I'm a weird bloke on a message board.

Don’t think ref was in position to see what happened up to liner to give a decision?

I’m not a sore loser and we deserved to lose but when you consider their first goal was maybe offside, their second was a defensive abomination and the third was both a defensive abomination but also a foul on the keeper it makes tonight’s result worse!

Absolutely bang on....we have a MASSIVE job this summer as we all know. I always say people speak with their actions not their words and we need a very strong message with action.

I agree, we just don't seem to have clear roles for our players to be able to shine and compliment each other. We play our best football off the cuff when the game is already lost.
