The bit about beating Northampton. Don’t think it would have been any different. You are right about going out in the semi
I didn't think Bolton were great the 1st goal was well worked. 2nd a calamity from Roberts and Williams 3rd Roberts at fault again. We had took 6 points from a possible 36 under Collins if the club hadn't sacked him and we didn't get in the play offs post would be on here hammering the club they can't win either way.
Don’t be so short sighted! Stop blaming the fans when the real problems come from those above, it’s about time the Crynes, Neerav & JAQ & her cronies are called out for what they are, totally & utterly inept! Nothing has changed since fat man Conway & Mister Lee buggered off, in fact it’s somehow got worse!
Yet there's generally a JAQ and Neeav love in. Those 2 need taking to task because they're performing as poorly as the fat controller and Chien.
I could be completely wrong there to be fair I just feel with Collins at least there wouldn't have been unrest and we would've scraped over the line with a boring 1-0 win. It's just a feeling though largely based on foresight and I don't have any facts or figures to back it up. Nevermind though, what's done is done and we've ended up in the same place regardless.
And before the 6 from 36 we took 48 from 66. Individual errors did cost us tonight, I concede that. But to sack him without an adequate replacement is negligent.
And that is……???? Something happened after that Bolton game the other month, it’s clear…… don’t know what though……
I also agree with you we should have had a replacement but nothing surprises me with this lot after the f.a cup saga. I had little confidence in Collins and I heard he had fallen out with some key players but devaneys no manager and we should have got someone in before the Northampton game
In part, I agree. But there seem to have been other considerations for the Board to factor in as well (e.g. season ticket sales, the mediocre football, perhaps Collins' unrealistic post match summaries) as well as the scary prospect of perhaps missing the play offs. And there may be other stuff we don't know about. It still was the employer who dumped him, Not the fans.
To be fair though mate when we sacked Collins the plan was to have Thalhammer in charge for the playoffs who may or may not have done better.
It was a fantastic plan until someone forgot to check the league requirements for working in the UK or couldn't be arsed!!
And to be fair, Thalhammer’s short term results are very good - seems to get a good initial reaction, which is what we needed. Albeit quite clearly his long term results are questionable. But no one ever said he would be signing long term, perhaps he was always a short term fix…..
