    Good to see that they have both released albums ( not together ) this week.
    I was a big fan, particularly of Canned Heat.
    Amphetamine Annie is and always will have one of the “ heaviest” guitar solos ever recorded.
    Sadly I wouldn’t imagine any of the original band would be still boogieing.

    Hunter, however is still alive

    Ian Hunter is 85 next month saw Mott the Hoople at the Buxton festival in 74

    Only the drummer left from the original Canned Heat.
    I guess it could be their last album based on the title Finyl Vinyl

    He’s certainly very under rated.
    Have just noticed your profile pic Sparky….
    My first wife grew up in a house, in Wakefield, on the same street as Bill Nelson and I saw him at Wakey College around 1970 with his band Global Village.

    I first heard of them in 73/74 when we were doing some work at a infants/junior school out Wakey way and we got talking to the original drummer who was teaching there.
