R.I.P. Yosser. I have Boys From The Black Stuff. No watched it for years. I’ll definitely give it an airing in remembrance of Bernard, a great actor and Graeme Souness impersonator.
Saw the stage version recently- brilliant. If anything summed up the 80's it was this. Met Shake hands as his granddaughter was in my class and no I didn't... RIP to a great actor who played one of the most iconic roles on British TV
RIP Bernard. Boys from the black stuff really typified that time when I was leaving school. It was some people’s reality. A bleak social commentary.
RIP Mr Hill.....haven't seen boys from the black stuff for donkeys years but always remember Yossers wall cracking me up and his meeting with Souness............sithi.
Yosser is an iconic character for those alive at the time, was a great portrayal of someone struggling in those depressing times. BftBS is the ultimate social commentary of that period. RIP.
RIP sir. Boys from the black stuff was groundbreaking. And Auf weidersehen pet followed. Both brilliant.
He went to his fathers, in whose mighty company, he shall not feel ashamed. RIP Bernard Hill, king Theoden.
