It would be fantastic to think that Styles might have got his head together and would come back knowing that if puts a shift in and bosses that left side of midfield (which he should be doing at this level), he might get the "big move" he clearly craves. Getting the titty-lip on and downing tools will never provide it.

No, he’s currently starring in a ‘Open all hours’ remake as ‘Granville’, (mother met an Hungarian soldier) Our own Alan Smith plays ‘Arkwright’

He’s getting rave reviews, especially the stabilisers on the shop bike, and Alan catching his tongue in the till drawer mid name drop.

You mean for the second leg?

    If so..Then no.

He will be moved on in the summer. Loan or permanent due to his wages.

He’s on a half season loan. Can’t be re-registered to us until next season.

Couldn’t even help his Sunderland team relegate Wednesday. It’s a no from me.

Loan contract ends may 31st to cover play offs if necessary. But he'll be on his Jollies now.

He clearly has no desire to play for us. The last thing we want next season, are players who believe they should be playing somewhere else. If I was Mladen, I would cut my losses with him this summer. We're not going to get anywhere near the original value for him. If we could get 500k I would take it and move on. That money should be able to sign a quality League 1 player.

He’s clearly not even a decent league one player so i fully agree with this.

He was a more than decent Championship player under Val, so I'd say that's just nonsense. It's genuinely baffling - a player who's desperate to get away and thinks he should be playing at a higher level, but isn't prepared to apply himself and put in a bit of graft to make it happen.

Looking on the Sunderland forum they don’t rate him in the slightest. Think he needs to have a long hard look in the mirror and realise he’s not as good as what he thinks he is. Assuming we’re going to be in league one next season he’d be a good player at this level if he commits his future to Barnsley fc

He didn't do much for us in midfield infact he had some shocking games. Derby and Blackpool away 2 of the worst he may aswell stayed on bus. Wasn't his release fee 2million? I think the clu. Would let him go at a cut price to get him off the wage bill.

Okay, but we know he IS capable when he wants to be, as he's shown it plenty of times in the past.

I would love Styles to come out and committ to us and say he will get his head down for a full season and give it everything he has got to get his career back on track but I don't think he will and while he is ever looking for a move he can never commit fully.

So unfortunately it has to be goodbye.

It was 3 seasons ago. Not sure how much longer anyone is willing to give him to come good. Despite another 2 failed loan spells at Millwall and Sunderland since then in the meantime.

That's distant memory now though. That was a freak season. Tbf Millwall rated him, but obviously not enough to meet our valuation, and he picked up an injury that kept him out. Since then, his standard has been poor. I genuinely wanted him to succeed at Sunderland, but based on what I saw in his last season with us, I can't say I'm surprised the loan has turned out how it has. He can't keep dining out on playing for Hungary. For me he needs to get his head down, work out what his best position is and find a Club that will consistently play him there.
