so we just get a good defensive coach in and everything’s ok yeah, stick with that same back 5 with cotter as back up. it’s good news that actually m, means we don’t have to spend any money and we’ll be fine next year. …,if we’ve still got the same back 5 next season starting, we deserve everything we get.
Well done reds, a great display of fighting spirit tonight. We have to sign Grant before someone else nicks him from under our nose. I'm actually more optimistic about next season then I was leading into this one. Just need a few good loan signings to replace Roberts, MacAtee and McCart and we've the makings of a decent team New Keeper OKeefe, Pines, Lopata,, New WB Phillips Grant, Connell, Chapman/Lofthouse Cosgrove, New ST/Jalo/Marsh
Yep a noble effort. Gave the travelling fans hope until the death, and made it a game of fine margins. I reckon it will have kindled a bit of interest for what now happens over the summer. I'm certainly more enthused. Although I reckon that we presently have no more than half a dozen players upon which to mount a decent campaign next season. Let's see what happens next.
Completely agree. People genuinely question him because of his voice... There's a reason our away form has been better than our home for the first time in our history.
I can’t recall the atmosphere being toxic at Oakwell this season? Fans were at their most vocal in their negativity to Collins away at Burton and Blackpool from memory I would say the atmosphere has been a bit flat this season but this is due to Collins style of football….and of course not winning football matches. a ridiculous decision to sack him mind…
*Cough* Derby at home *Cough*. We came back from 0-1 down after 18 minutes to win 2-1. I seem to recall Derby finishing above Bolton this season.
Eh we have come from behind loads under Collins. Did we ever do it under Duff who is apparently now favourite
I agree Frogger, and I've said it many times as well. So Neil maybe is/was boring and dull sounding... but what has that got to do with the players performances. I'm sick of hearing about the poor players, and that they have had all of their confidence ruined by Collins, etc!.
Maybe but the level of performance this evening was probably a level above any of the performances under Collins, just spoilt by the soft goals conceded. Derby in my opinion weren't as good as Bolton.
I said it at time when we played Derby at home they didn't look that good. Ok we were hanging on abit at 2-1 but that was just our tactic. Bolton absolutely mullered us 2nd half at oakwell in the league and they didn't have their most dangerous player dion Charles available.
Did anybody notice the Bolton corner routine, same as the goal they scored Friday, ie pushed the keeper into the goal, if you didn't, last nights ref gave us a free kick.
They setup to do the same when they scored from the corner although they didn't need to use it in that instance.
