You don't like the council badge but would have a cartoon character on there? Each to their own.

Correct. How many other clubs use their council’s emblem? It’s a football club, let’s have an emblem that reflects that. Ours looks to busy, too messy for me. You can’t call it iconic.

We should. Better than what we've got now.

I'd get behind that. Or the white rose. Just not the cartoon character.

Would be my choice, but what about all that rubbish that was going on when the the club stopped saying Oakwell and started saying Grove Street instead?

It's not the councils emblem, it's the Barnsley coat of arms.

All opinions but having a mascot as a club badge imo would be a cringefest, the Yorkshire rose is fine for the Yorkshire ccc, for obvious reasons, don't mind our current one tbf but if we did change it I'd like something like the old Oak and a well one, not necessarily the one from yester year but a more modern take

Maybe so RE Toby badge. I just think it's quite retro. Our current badge just doesn't do it for me. It's not very sleek or iconic. The surround looks cheap. A modern well and oak one, done properly, has the potential to be great.

As long as its not one of these contemporary, monotone, "simple as you can" efforts. So boring and no character. I like our current crest, but it is a bit impersonal towards BFC.

Yeah the well with the leaf above it lol.
It brings back good memories of the Panini album footy stickers from 40+ years ago. :)

Don’t mess with the current one,it represents the town’s history and is a good shape.

Keep the coat of arms, change the shield to an oak wreath.

It's the symbol that represents Barnsley - our Tarn, our heritage. How iconic do you want? :)

I like the one on the home Roma shirt which is just a wolf with no writing think we should have something noticeable but basic! Or we could go for Billy Casper and Kes

I just think the crest as a whole looks naff. Maybe it's the shield. I'm not a fan of the coat of arms (I am but just not on a football shirt). We can give a nod to our heritage in a better way.

Found these online, don't know where they come from. But in my opinion they look great... they're modern, sleak, tidy etc. There's 4 altogether, you'll have to click links to two.

    https://dribbble.com/shots/20062515-Barnsley-FC-concept (Really like this one)

The club crest, to me (and it's only my opinion), just looks like someones copied and pasted the coat of arms on a shield on MS Paint. It looks cheap. Again, I like the coat of arms, just don't think it works on a footie shirt. Obviously, everyone will think they're terrible.
