    I suppose there’s no financial stability throughout any of the leagues in English football. But being in the championship provides more tv money, more away day gates and should really allow you to buy a higher quality of player that would hopefully then allow to sell for an even bigger profit.

    You’re right, we would be one of the lowest budgets in the championship but it would still be a fair chunk higher than anything we’d have in this division I would say.

    It would definitely be more. But my point is it doesn't paper over the operating costs deficit because we'd have to spend it on signings, wages etc.
    After doing that I don't see us being much better off in terms of cash in the bank. We'd basically be swapping a budget for top ten in League One for bottom four in the Championship.
    And I do admit I could be in error on my understanding on this.

    Yes we've struggled for years to sign anybody and put a team out.
