Sorry if this has been posted already.....couldn't see anything. Anyway, Doug's been speaking with him....
Thanks for sharing, Micky. For me, it's another poor quality piece from the Chronicle, but nothing personal & I respect the point of view. Fundamentally, it throws back to the 'unacceptable results' that led to Collins being sacked & I called BS on that a couple of weeks ago. Kane went down the toilet after gobbing off & slobbing off. Connell injury followed. Russell covered well for Kane, but then also got injured. So our midfield was decimated outside the control of the gaffer, but he had to go because of results. Clearly Cozzy performed really well in the playoffs & taking that confidence in to next season augers well. On the other hand, what we need most of all is a positive mental attitude & this notion of "bringing in quality" coming from a player is dodgy .... has the hallmark of Kane from last season and casts doubt on him being a team player. Work with what we have + come together as a team + do your talking on the pitch!
I have no problem with anything Sam Cosgrove has said. He scored 3 of our 4 goals against Bolton and made the pass for Adam Philips to score the other. Any player worth thier salt would want quality playerz alongside them.
Can I ask why poor. ? There are 3 pages full of articles attached to barnsley fc. It's just an interview of one player.
It is only my opinion, but the author comes across as 'anti Collins', so playing to the vocal minority/ social media. The article I commented on previously spoke of unacceptable results leading to his dismissal. I strongly object to that point of view, because of the circumstances I've mentioned in this thread Ultimately, Collins did bring us to the verge of being auto promotion candidates, but then the midfield imploded & he cannot be held responsible for that. In general, I agree with Cosgrove coming across well, but certainly not on the 'bringing in quality ' - stating the bleeding obvious, but every fan wants that & it really is an echo of Kane's words ahead of this season.
