There's just one tiny flaw in your argument there. Which, in case you hadn't spotted it, is that the retained list is published every single season.
you are quite right fella. There’s absolutely no chance of us announcing it like all other 91 league clubs and every non league club, or indeed as we’ve done every year since the requirement to do so begin. Absolutely no chance eh
Good job they have to release this cos we have heard sod all from the club since Collins got the sack.
Since Collins left... Over 70 posts (News items only, didn't count video items) on the main club website. Over 50 posts on Instagram. Gave up trying to count on Twitter and don't do Facebook. There's been a wealth of content put out by the club, quite possibly more than ever before. Is it all linked to recruitment of players or head coach search? Of course not. But they aren't going to reveal that kind of thing, they never have and few if any clubs ever do until they can provide concrete news. I really feel like folk are searching for any stick to beat the club with this last few weeks.
Ok you got me. But you know what I meant really. Sporting Director, Mladen Sormaz said: “Neill has been extremely professional throughout the period with which I have worked with him, he has done everything he can do to push the team in the direction we all want Barnsley to go. He has conducted himself with professionalism and commitment throughout the period I have worked with him. However, with a crucial season conclusion ahead of us, we feel that now is the right time to make a change. We thank the fans for their continued support and urge you all to back the team this Saturday against Northampton. We will update supporters in the coming days."
Barnsley fc are poor at looking at local talent. From my lads year 2 are at Rotherham, 1 at sheff utd and 1 at man utd. I shake my head at the closed shop of bfc academy.
I would have liked at least one of our owners to come out with a few words about getting rid of Neil, praising him for getting us enough points for the play offs that the Northampton game didn't matter for us making them. Lesser people in the past have got words.
