Near mine there were too purple coloured bands in the Sky and where they met if looked a bit more purple, but it looks far more impressive as a photo.
If there’s any storm chasers out there this map is very helpful https://www.lightpollutionmap.info/...wYWNpdHkiOjYwLCJmZWF0dXJlc29wYWNpdHkiOjg1fQ==
Overhead where we live it appeared more of a large band of greyish mist with very faint colours. The sort of thing you wouldn't look at twice. But the camera transformed it into multi colours. I'd love to know how a camera can do that. Some of the "professional" photos are very spectacular, almost over the top.
Can someone explain to me like I’m five how to use my phone camera to see it tonight, please? I have an iPhone SE (3rd gen) and I generally just point and snap, I’ve never changed the settings.
To be honest I didn’t change any settings on mine, it was unbelievable the difference thru the camera to the naked eye,
Worked out why I couldn't see 'em last night. BECAUSE YOU CAN'T ACTUALLY SEE 'EM! Unless you take a photo! I can see photos of 'em on here.
