    Crawley for the same reason.

Dean would have been sent off tonight for his blatant stamp if VAR was around....Or if that waste of space Sebastian Stocksbridge had spotted it.

Bad memories of being battered 5-1 by crawley. We had Holgate, Hourihane, Scowen, Crainie, Pearson all starting so it wasn't an horrendous team either! I believe George Waring started too, who personally I think had a decent enough loan spell with us, unless I'm mixing him up? Went on to do absolutely nowt however, barely played after us until finding a home at Curzon in 2022. No clue if he's still there though, he was last season

Corey Addai, the Crawley goalkeeper, used to be at Barnsley but never made an appearance. He looks decent.

Yes I looked him up afterwards mate, that in itself for a young striker isn't bad, almost 1 in 3. But I looked at his minutes played and he had a goal ratio of 1 every 180 minutes or so, so even better. He started off really well, 5 goals in 650 odd minutes/7 games and then didn't score for 8/9 games and then scored in his last game for us to make it 6. Perhaps I'm just remembering his early season form because for some reason I always thought he had a decent spell here. Don't know if he had any assists or anything mate.

Edit - he might have started poorly and ended well actually... Can't actually remember now and it was only a few hours ago I checked it lol!

I hope Crewley can do it, err soz I mean Crewe lol.
I also remember the dreaded double that Crawley did against us, in season '14.
We were back in Lg One again (Division Three) with Danny Wilson, after relegation. And amazingly, I think the first 3 games of that season, were against both Creepy & Crawley.

He did have a decent spell mate. He scored the winner at Gillingham in Little Lees first game in charge and was a decent target man. Think he had back problems though.

Yes, I believe I get the dates wrong bud. Scored his first game not his last and had that purple patch scoring 5 in 7. I always thought he'd turn out to have a decent career (and he has by non-footballer standards obviously) but figured he'd atleast have a good league career

That season we went on a decent run after Johnson took over, can remember taking quite a decent following to Oldham and winning and thinking the playoffs were on, then we went on a daft run of something like 1 win from 10 and fell away badly.

looking at Warings stats, it looks like Stoke still had plans for him as they were happy for him to go out on loan to get some experience. Probably had his best time with us goals wise but I think he’s probably more useful as a target man than goal poacher - could even have switched roles as he’s got older as well?

First time I went to Gresty Rd we had just been relegated from the premier league. First game of the season, sold out away end and high hopes of a quick return.

We were awful and comfortably beaten 3–1 despite having a strong team out. Sean Mclare got our only goal.

Yeah that was my opinion on him as well mate, thought he'd make a real decent target man. Can't say I've kept up to date with his career so no idea what's happened to him, injuries etc.
