Got to hand it to you mate, even out of season you can’t wait to get the boot into the club you profess to support!

 

It'll be interesting to see if he gets any money to spend and wether he comes in for Phillips or Connell.

 

We need someone that will unite the fanbase and sell season tickets mate. I know they say never go back but Duff would have had the impact needed. Never really believed it would happen though so I’m not surprised. I just hope we don’t go for Williamson as I think that would have the opposite effect.

This, all day. How many rumours have come true. I don't take any notice of any rumour, unless it appears on the official site. All this ITK bull 0cks is just that, people wanting some sort of attention, sad really.

 

The silence from the club is deafening- not sure why they allow such conjecture to spread - hope we don’t end up with a wild card - for me we need a a solid dependable tried and tested version …… sadly I have no idea who that is

 

You can't deny it's looking like an element of some truth in what he says.
People are getting very frustrated with yet another rebuild we haven't had a head coach finish and start a season for 5 years, frustration however it transpires makes non of us less supporters than the next

 

If we do the formation will be 5-4-3-2-1

It's got to be McCann for me now.

 

The club can't impact it positively no matter what.

If they say we're not interested in Duff then large numbers of fans say there's no ambition, he was the man to turn it round, we're going for a cheap option again.

If they say they're in touch an equally sizeable group will be shouting that he doesn't deserve a second chance, he'll be off as soon as someone offers him an extra shilling a week (I'd have gone with the blacky egg thing but I can't remember the phrase), he's a Judas why would we want him back.

If they say nothing and keep working in the background we all moan that there's no news so they're clearly not doing anything and we're missing out on all our targets.

 

I'm not too unhappy about that

 

I get that, but I’m not sure the fanbase was united in wanting him back. Those that didn’t would be waiting for him to fall on his sword. It’s a perpetual thing with football fans.

 

If the club were in for Duff as some people said last week (he's definitely been at Oakwell said one) then they've failed to get their target and its poor. However, as someone else suggested above, were we really after him or is it all conjecture?
In any case we might, just might, end up with someone really good who knows what they're doing.
I for one will reserve judgement on the board till a) I found out who they get and b) I've watched the team after about 6/7 games so I can start making my mind up. I would like to see a new guy in quite soon though rather than waiting till July. Gives him time to sort things and have impact

 

Think its more a case of being underwhelmed than marking cards

 

Still remember us getting booed away at Plymouth on the first day of last season, and at Morecambe.

Would be happy to take Hecky back. Done well since being here previously. Not sure he’d want it though.
