We all know he is a top player and we need to keep him here for as long as we can unless a crazy bid comes in. Needs to be captain next season, not flogged.

 

Do we know that? I've seen speculation but I don't know that. And I know that our owners have said the money can't be immediately reinvested to buy new players because it's in installments and obviously everyone willing to sell to us demands it all up front in one lump sum or something.

The undisclosed fee isn't unique to Barnsley but don't think for one second that it's to stop other clubs finding out, it's to stop fabs knowing and complaining a club paid too much or sold for too little. That's all it's for. If anyone thinks that a club and an agent doesn't have contacts to find out how much a player went for then they're very very naive.
