Ticket prices have increased since last year.... https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/20232/may/wembley-tickets/ Absolute rip off.
So category 5 and 6 have gone up by a quid, 3 and 4 by 3 quid, 2 by a fiver and 1 by 6 quid. Makes absolutely no sense
If Oxford have the same allocation as Bolton, they’ll sell out quickly and will be asking for more. Think they took near on 40k last time against us in JPT. I hope Oxford go up - have had a soft spot for them since that final. Top set of fans who were there to just enjoy the day. No trouble and very friendly. Unlike a month later against Millwall…..
Actually not that simple this time. Yes some fans wouldn’t have gone due to recent form etc. but normally the fixture is on Spring Bank weekend, so get a lot who can’t make it due to hols. This time it’s the week before spring bank, so possibly more could make it. We’d shift 20k still - but not much more. Last year was 23k wasn’t it?
Both teams still sold more than we did last season so no idea why you are throwing shade at either team.
I'm not throwing shade. I along with many other Barnsley fans said they wouldn't go to Wembley if we made the play off final. My point is we don't appear to be the only set of fans where the gloss has disappeared with regards to visiting our national stadium.
Me neither. Same with threads about Wednesday. Bordering on obsessive with some. If other Clubs had constant threads about us, we’d have a field day.
Oxford sold 32,500 last time out, this was their local rag two days before they came off sale. https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/14389775.oxford-uniteds-jpt-wembley-ticket-sales-pass-32-500/ A cracking effort so far by both clubs, especially Bolton.
Apparently so. All play off games have so much that is shared between the teams competing, and then so much into a central pot. That central pot is also split between the 4 teams. Not entirely sure on what percentage basis, but yes, we get a share of the final receipts too. Can't for the life of me think where I read it. But it takes account of clubs taking money off the totals for travel and hotel expenses before submitting the share to the central pot
The pot is only split between the two finalists and the general EFL pool. 50% to the EFL, 25% to each finalist. The EFL pool is used to fund the EFL adminstration and things these days. Clubs also have to give 3% of all season ticket sales to the pool apparently
