Assuming none of out of our out of contract players sign-

    1. Get new manager in ASAP, preferable one that is based in England
    2. Get 2-3 veteran free agents in. Would Marc Roberts come back?
    3. Bring up some youngsters to permanent first team squad- Yoganathan, James, Chapman, Jalo (already should be the case)
    4. Players try to offload even at a loss- Watters, Cundy, Shaw
    5. Sell if a decent offer comes in, keep if not- Dallas, Russell
    6. Sign Grant permanently
    7. Sign 4-5 permanent players in transfer market- GK, LB, Midfielder
    8. Bring 2 loans in

    GK: 2 new ones
Def: Lofthouse, Cotter, O'Keefe, Earl, Pines, MDG, James, new LB, Free Agent signing (Roberts)
Mid: Connell, Phillips, Wolfe, Grant, Yoganathan, Chapman, free agent signing, transfer signing
Att: Cosgrove, Jalo, Marsh, Loan, Loan

Some talent in there but will the board bring the right manager in, not sell Jalo, Phillips, Connell, and bring in the right players?

    Could really go either way

Cundy who you mentioned to offload at a loss is out of contract I believe.

    As are Wolfe and Marsh.

Mccarthy and Benson need moving on.
Styles also if Sunderland don't trigger his buyout clause.

Killip is out of contract but we have an option of another year if he is happy to continue as backup.

Forgot about Styles but definitely add him to the list to supplement new transfers. Agreed with McCarthy and Benson, would try and upgrade from Kilip

    Goalkeeper

    Matt Macey or Simon Moore

    Centre back

    Sean Raggett or Marvin Ekpiteta

    Left back

    Tom Pearce or Clinton Mola

    Centre midfield

George Byers or Matty James or even Conor Hourihane (crazy I know but why not)

    Striker

Could we push the boat out for someone like Johnson Clarke-Harris or Jordan Rhodes who both guarantee goals at this level.

None of the above would command a transfer fee and offer experience that the team is crying out for. Whilst there may well be a requirement to increase wages, if we aim low and bargain basement, then invariably that's where you end up.

What a bizarre signing Killip was, absolutely nowhere near the level required, even as a back up. Id rather have one of our youngsters on the bench.

Don't need a new right back. We have O'Keefe and Lofthouse and Cotter.

What's a winger by the way?

Get Solbauer in as defensive coach, permits allowing. He's doing his badges, loves tarn and has helped transform our back 3 once before.

One of those unfashionable players that beats a man in the final 3rd either cutting inside or going outside, often associated with assists and some goals see Adam Hammill for reference, in particular 2 goals at Wembley cutting inside

Would love to see more of our youngsters come through. Think it would strengthen the connection with the town and fans, and would be nice to see a few proud to be wearing the shirt.

    1. Go on holibobs.
    2. Get pi55ed all summer.
    3. Sign some non-league hopefuls.
    4. Set on an Austrian coach at end of July after an extensive search but ended up appointing the 1st choice anyway.
    5. Sell Phillips on 31st August.
    6. Hold a meeting with the fans to let them know we did all we could but you can't force players to come.

    Assuming we stay 3-5-2
    New goalie....as said Moore
DEF.Pines MDG Earl Lofthouse James +1 free agent with experience at this level.
Cotter Okeefe will play wing back regularly now.
MID Connell Phillips Grant Yoganathan + 1 signing
    FRONT Cosgrove Jalo Marsh +signing

Not up to date on Chapman plus Lopata and Shepard to return but on bench. Dallas Shaw Benson McArthy Cundy get rid save wages . The big one for me is a forward as our defence unlike last time will all have played regularly.trim squad and pay decent wages on better signings..

Forgot about Lopata actually, would like to keep him around- thought he was our best defender at the start of the season

Not seen enough of Lofthouse to judge but I wouldn’t be trusting O’Keeffe or Cotter in a back 4

not as a right back. he is to the right hand side what Clarke Oduor was to the left.
