Well I've seen 4 and some on here will have seen 5 but they arent all that frequent Stendell had a very good squad and got a tune out of them - I loved that season I dont think he could do the same with the likely squad next season though - I was really hoping for someone like a Duff who can really improve players - whether Willamson if its him, can do that I have no idea, personally Id rather have McCann but the DOF has to get his act together and actually hire someone soon- Complete **** up getting rid of Collins and screwing up the replacement and now we are playing catch up
Are we sure he can get a visa - I would have thought he would have the same issues as sledgehammer now given his record since he left us
Ow come.......folk on here got all arsey at Duff for jacking at the first opportunity, but wasn't Stendel sacked for tapping up Huddersfield, coincidentally, (or did I imagine that back in those hazy happy days) and he's revered in these parts. Oh, and I'd have him back.
He’s actually a few months short from the 36months required based off his time with the Hanover 96 first team, Barnsley, Hearts and Nancy. The question is his time with Hanover 96 second team. If it counts, he comfortably qualifies. They play in the German second tier so should qualify, based on the attached criteria. But i don’t know if them being a second team effects anything.
A Reds manager completely shafted by player turnover after having almost his entire defence sold? Well I never.
Ancelloti and Zidane have both had separate spells at Real Madrid. Also that tw4t who managed Stoke, Pulis.
I think it wasn't ever expressly admitted to, but wasn't there more of a suspicion that he was purposefully throwing matches when when we went up to the Championship? I seem to recall the 5-1 humiliation away at Preston being the time where people suggested that his tactics of all out attack and a ridiculously high defensive line made it look almost intentional. A bit of a F U to the board for robbing him of his players iirc. Again, never admitted to or proven, but I do recall that being mentioned.
Didn't Lee Johnson have a dig at the board. Seem to remember him registering his assistant as a player?
Or David Moyes - West Ham Neil Lennon - Celtic Jose Mourinho - Chelsea Zinedine Zidane - Real Madrid Just a few high profile managers who also did ok going back. Proper throw away comment is 'Never go back'. It's a bit like the athletes who miss out on the medals and say it's the taking part that counts.
Not sure about that, but it wouldn't surprise me. There's obviously something wrong with the way that our board operates. All these coaches and players that leave us and speak in negative tones afterwards is rather worrying. They can't all be stupid and not understood the parameters or the ethos that was explained to them by the board at the time of signing on. If I had to guess, I'd say the board as was, maybe the current incumbents too, tell prospective Coaches and players one thing, only to do the other when it suits, be that selling players, not signing players promised to the coach or whatever. It just seems to have been a recurring theme of disappointment.
Hannover reserves play in the fourth (regional) tier in Germany which does not count. If it is to be DS then I can only assume he has some sort of UK residency status from his time with us and then Hearts because there's no way his work for the last 5 years meets the criteria for a GBE as it stands.
