We should be getting ready for the trip. Instead we`ll be watching on with envy! I would imagine if you asked Bolton now of the other play-off teams they could be facing in the final I would wager that they would rather it not be us (or am I being a bit precious?).
If I was a Bolton fan I would be hoping it was us nothing like having a 2 goal start as we always concede at least that over the last 1/4 of the season I would think they are fine with Oxford though. Id expect Bolton to win but am hoping Oxford do. Will probably watch it on the TV unless the weather is too nice in which case Ill record it and watch it later and think at least Ive saved well over £100 on the day
It's sounds defeatist but my heart sank when I realised we'd got Bolton as no disrespect to Peterborough and Oxford. I thought our Semi would decide who went up.
Probably a symptom of the amount of times we’ve been in recent history, but I’m not too fussed. I’ll watch all the finals without any regret because we just weren’t good enough this season and didn’t do enough to deserve the day out. I’ve no doubt we’ll be back there several times in the future.
I want both teams to lose. I do not want Bolton to win but I don’t want to lose my home game at Oxford.
Its buzzing, an the area is packed, both sets of fans love my Barnsley shirt, an the Wifes Bridlington shirt cant believe im ere but what a place to be, went to greenwich this morning, got some cheese an some liquorish. Going over to the shopping centre for a pair of sketchers an summat to eat. Had a great day had a good bet on Oxford got enhanced odds 10 /3, got mi Sketchers, had a bite to eat an a great afternoon art with all the Fans even been sat with a Wednesday fan who's darn with wife an brother in law Crewe fans. Coming home t'morra gorra book art after brekky.
Both teams I have reasons I want them both to lose. Evatt being one and that Toal or should be called Tool. Then Oxford have got that Ciaron Brown who is one of the biggest play acting lovely people I’ve seen at Oakwell this season and last. Hope they both lose.
Bolton for me. Bigger club out of the way next season, Oxford is a nicer place for an away day (even though we've not played them there on a Saturday yet which is a piss take) and I think Bolton are the better side, definitely look more ready to go up than Oxford who I think rode their luck massively in the semis.
It's a Catch 22 for me. I don't want Bolton to win, because they beat us. But if Oxford win, then Bolton will be a more difficult option next season.
Watching it. Thinking of what might have been, if we could defend corners & set pieces. Don't really care who wins TBH. We have stiff competition next season.
