How many of us are looking forward to Herbie's goodbye message to the club/fans? I'll stick my neck on the line and say we're not going to get one. Who else thinks the same?
Considering he's removed Barnsley FC from his twitter/x bio and he's been on since his departure to congratulate Oxford on promotion, I don't think we'll be seeing that goodbye message.
Is it? I must admit, I don't keep track of every player that comes in and out of the club. It does seem to be something which has become more common in the last few years, in line with social media becoming more prominent. But again, is this just something else to get het up about. For what it's worth, I'm not on Twitter so I don't know how prominent Kane is on there, but he's not posted on Instagram since October. Maybe he just doesn't use social media.
Mine was too, hence the question mark. I guess what I meant was, does it matter? I apologise if I came across flippant.
No offence taken. You replied coherently to my initial question. That was the reason to my initial post, to gage the opinion of the fans. So thank you for your contribution.
I think it is normal these days. And just for clarity, I'm far from het up about it, couldn't give a sh1t3 about him leaving or giving a message.
I don't give a f cuk what he does now. I'd expect him to be the same. What's it matter? Time moves forward not backwards. Life's too short to be concerned with people and things that don't matter.
This is by no means me “starting” something but I always got the impression that he was never overly enamoured with the club or our fans. Could be completely wrong and also could just be how he is. Just my feeling.
He doesn't & never has really liked the fans, and the fans have been indifferent about him at best. We've acknowledged he's a decent player, when he can be arsed, but we've seen it only fleetingly and he's not happy when that's pointed out. I wish him well, but he's a little thin-skinned to be on social media, I'd say.
