I would have thought that by announcing he was leaving at the end of the season it would spur the players on to give him a good send off. They did their best and up to a month ago were still in the reckoning. Man City were relentless and it wouldn't have mattered a jot if he had waited till today to announce his leaving. If he's not a Premier League legend then apart from Pep, Wenger and Fergie, who is? He took Liverpool out of the doldrums and won numerous trophies with them not just the PL for the first time. Wish we had him.
The bloke has been fantastic for the premiership and will be missed, the game needs men like Klopp, passionate animated and shows a genuine love for the game………a don’t get the animosity towards him personally
No ego involved in announcing he was leaving when they did. He informed the club in November so they had time to plan and it would've been leaked in the press eventually and before that, led to uncertainty and speculation. Excellent professionalism to get it out publically.
I’d like to hope if and when DS is announced we can try and replicate a club spirit like Klopp has for Liverpool, baring Duff there’s been a massive breakdown between BFC and its fans base……maybe DS can be the catalyst to get us going again
He had to announce it as it was about to come out. One of the greatest managers this countries ever seen. Would’ve won loads of league titles in any other era. They’ve finished 2nd on several occasions scoring more points than Fergie’s United & Wenger’s Arsenal ever managed and the leagues far tougher these days. Just unlucky he was around at the same time as Pep’s City side. Also won the champions league in 2019 with arguably the most difficult run any sides had & made two other finals despite never been close to having the biggest budget in England or Europe. Brilliant manager. Definitely deserves the legend tag.
I’m not a Liverpool fan but have to agree he’s been a great addition to the premier league and will be missed
His whinging annoyed me towards the latter part of his Liverpool career. Particularly about the fixtures and kickoff times. However, nobody can deny the success he’s had and his style of play has certainly brought something to the premier league. Big boots to fill.
Wins trophies , gets the best out some average players and plays attacking attractive football ... would take that at Oakwell any day
Indeed, very good manager. Did well with Liverpool without matching City's spending and outperformed Man u who did Match City's spending. Still don't like him though.
I've liked him since his first presser when announced as Liverpool manager calling himself The Normal One as a skit of Mourinhos The Special One.
No need the jibe i would agree but Paisley is miles ahead of Klopp. Different levels in terms of achievement
