They are involved in two regional final playoffs in the next couple of weeks so you would expect Daniel Stendel to remain with them until their season is over wouldn't you?

I would expect him to stay there to finish the season there and see our the remainder of his contract. But surely if he has signed a deal with us, we'd be able to announce it prior to him leaving his other role.

If (and it's a big if) we are waiting for Stendel to finish his season, wouldn't you rather we did that than appointed someone else, just for the sake of two weeks? Two weeks when a lot of the players will be on holiday anyway.

Depends if Hannover are run by muppets who think they will have a better chance in the play off with no manager.

Why.? Players don't return till july 1st. And if true he's to be the next manager. Conference calls are so easy to make.
You can bet your bottom dollar any manager on holiday will be doing exactly that to keep updated.

But if hes our man and its been agreed, why not issue a statement like Liverpool did today RE Slot and say Daniel will return on X date.

Not sure Liverpool are a great example to use. They agreed terms in April with Feynord, Slot announced on Friday he was taking over and Klopp was singing his name to the fans on Sunday so Liverpool were a bit late to announce.

Ask yourselves what you would feel like if we were in the playoffs and it was announced that the manager was leaving for another club, not be very professional

What about if they sacked the manager the match before the playoffs, got in then regardless of how that last match went, lost the playoffs and still hadn’t signed anyone weeks later?

(I know that’s irrelevant to your point which was a good one, it just popped into my mind how ridiculous the situation is).

He’s managing a reserve side I mean seriously,

i think it’s the wrong appointment anyway if we are going with him yet we are now in the same position as the end of last season. Lost in the play offs and now scrambling around almost a month after we sacked Collins. Again I’m seeing no leadership from the club that makes me think there is any tangible improvements in our hierarchy.

The longer it goes on the more I'm thinking it isn't the right appointment. As knee jerk goes I could kind of see the appeal, but if we are waiting and waiting and been held to ransom by a reserve team then I think it's time to pack in.

Zero leadership from those above, no wonder the players don't give a f**k.

What evidence do you have that we're being "held to ransom"? Them wanting Stendel to see out the season before releasing him from his contract is hardly outrageous. Likewise, Stendel himself may want to finish the season. It's not as if he's missing any Barnsley games while he does.

I should point out Hanover II are on the brink of being promoted to the third tier of German football. So a decent level. They finished top of their regional league. His contract is up after then.

Reserve sides aren't like ours over here. They play in professional leagues abroad.

Usually folk going well over the top again though, no surprise. In 2 weeks lads will still on be on their jollies.
