Players don't return until late-June/early-July do they?

Provided we have a coach in place for then, it doesn't matter if we appoint today or the Sunday before they start training...

It does because the style of play will dictate the spreadsheet and also some input from the new Coach and assistant.

It would be nice to make some signings identified by the recruitment team and approved by the new manager who are here at the start of preseason training, rather than arriving in August, unfit and a month or so away from being ready for first team action.

With that in mind I'd suggest it's advantageous for the manager to be in place as soon as possible.

Don’t think it’s too much to ask for us to have a manager in place to oversee the summer plans for a change .

Yep.. as Udders said that Duff would be starting work straight away.. Looks like Steve Evans is cracking on at Rotherham as well..
But who'd want that.. people in place and preparing in plenty of time.. not for us that..

Then he'll probably want a holiday before starting here.. which would be understandable..

Plus wouldn't it be better to announce our head coach sooner rather than later to help sell STs..
    Sorry that's a ridiculous idea..

It’s also something the club have pointed at being an issue in the past - yet here we are again.
