It might have been his choice. Last week he was asked if he thought he would be kept on for next season and he went on about being down to two sides if he would be there next season. Plus it was only the other day the owner was praising him. They are one of the form sides after a transitional season and look in a decent place already for next season.

Such an overrated manager Poch in my opinion.

Been at massive clubs and was always linked to huge jobs too but never really achieved anything at any of them.

Cost Tottenham the Champions League selecting Kane over Moura. Never recovered from bottling that final.

Still tickles me that thread about next manager. It's become my new catchphrase. It's my three match ban Mcgeehan or egg chasing b u mmers gimmick :D. I'll get bored eventually.

I'm just bored with endless speculation and unfounded rumours. They go nowhere but I waste my time reading the threads. I must have nothing better to do

That was bad but to then lose Ligue 1 title to lille while managing PSG is a joke

Didn't Spurs concede a pen after about 20 seconds? Not sure Moura would have made much difference

He did a right job at Spurs. 6th biggest budget & gave them regular champions league football.

Only criticism is they never won a cup but I think that’s a Levy issue more than a Poch issue. Spurs never seem to prioritise the cups.

Seems a strange time for him to leave Chelsea just as they started to look like a proper team. I wonder if he’s got the Man Utd job.

If Jim Ratcliff is serious about turning Man Utd's fortunes around then he needs to be looking at a winner. Unfortunately Poch is a loser who failed to win the Ligue 1 title with PSG despite having a far healthier budget than any other team.

Whilst I agree with your seemingly harsh rhetoric towards Pocc about him being a loser, I do think he'd be a good long term manager. Will get them up to scratch, eventually, just as he had with Chelsea second half of this season - though that's where the point I agree with you comes in mate, I'm not sure he'd be the man to take them up to that next elite step.

I don't know whether the current players would respond to someone like him, it really would be long term I think. The other alternative would be someone who is huge in football, someone who brings that aura, ala Zidane. Despite his champions league success, I actually don't think he's a great manager. But the players who aren't pulling their weight, who are hiding, and there are plenty at that club, would be drowned out straight away I imagine with a personality of his ilk. It's a shambles mate and regardless of whatever happens in the near future, I think it'll be a good whilse before we see the United of old coming back!

I know Man Utd still have fans, and are happy to spend a bit of money. Currently though, they’re not contenders for the title. Poch has a willingness and good reputation for working with youngsters, and that’s a Man Utd strength. Making them a coherent and good attacking team is what they need currently - could give him a few years then reassess.

I can't believe they got shut. European Football for next season and finished only 5 points off the Champions League despite it being a transitional season trying to get loads of players with no history of English Football up to speed. The past few months he has got them going and things we finally starting to gel. It doesn't make sense.
